InDesign Workflow Overhaul – Jensen Investment Mgt.

Design and Consulting Contract for Jensen Investment Management Hired by Jensen to work with their design firm, Riley Weiss, I improved the InDesign workflow for a pre-existing quarterly report template that required filling tables of data originating from a SQL database. I completely overhauled the style sheets, improved overall type treatment and readability, plus customized the InDesign template (using Character, Paragraph, Cell, Table, and Object Styles) to decrease the time it took Jensen to update the document from a full week’s work down to ten minutes per update, saving thousands of dollars per quarter. Workflow SQL Database -to- Excel -to- InDesign Linked Excel files allowed for fast update of data in a number of InDesign tables. The work included design, consulting, training, and follow up.
